i'm glad that she followed her dreams
17 year old Bianca Passarge of Hamburg dresses up as a cat, complete with furry tail and dances on wine bottles, June 1958. Her performance was based on a dream and she practiced for eight hours every day in order to perfect her dance. Photo: Carlo Polito/BIPs/Getty Images
I've seen the photo in a dozen places recently, but it still bewilders me. When i found that her performance was based on a dream, it made perfect sense, but now instead of being mildly amused, i'm in awe of her vision.
There doesn't seem to be anything more on Bianca Passarge on the web that i can find.

Thank you deeply, comrade. It warms my heart when someone else gets anything out of these blogs.
I tried to follow your link, but only reached a login page. Could you post another link to your blog?
Thanks.

Going to link to your blog obviously. Never spotted it before, as i never check the stats anymore. i assume that it's just me and slickdpdx (the sole remaining commenter) reading the blog at this point
wow. i've always been extremely dissatisfied with my Katrina writing, and being that i don't live in New Orleans proper (you must know that i was in Baton Rouge at the time, and am from Tangipahoa Parish,) and had a very different experience from a real native of the city.
